February
2000, Eric Olson speaks at Loyola College
Eric
Olson gives a talk on the Frank Olson story for students and faculty at at
Loyola College, Baltimore. The talk is titled: Mind Control Murder:
The CIA, LSD, and the Limits of Human Experimentation. The event is
sponsored by the Peace and Justice Center at Loyola College and is hosted
by Dr. Richard Boothby, Chair of the Philosophy Department.
Note
on the event: Both faculty and students were deeply troubled by the story
of my fathers death, particularly as it seems to suggest the dark side
of the American victory in the Cold War without providing easy or obvious
pathways for reform.(EO)
